MATT GAGNON sifts through the layers of our relationships with objects and spaces in search of aesthetic phenomena that can be experienced over time. Trained as an architect with a background in performance his work questions how bodies occupy physical and emotional space.
In addition to shows @ galleries such as Winston Wachter New York City, Rossana Orlandi in Milan, Twentieth Gallery in LA, his studio practice has created installations for NASA, Louis Vuitton, the City of LA and Google, architectural designs for homes and creative work spaces for Ingenuity studios, Beggars Group, furniture for mass production and sets for dance. He began his career working for Gatano Pesce and Frank Gehry after studying architecture and dance at Cornell University. He avoids disciplinary labels.
