Light cannot be seen without context; only in contact with a surface or object does it become visible and it’s effect varies depending upon the space and the time of day.
There is so much illumination today that it is almost never dark.
It is the emotional want of light that is interesting, not the utilitarian need.
The work explores the frequencies of light in relation to assemblages of color, texture and finish.
The material that “holds” the light defines the light.
